Captain Jared Rock
More than 30 years fishing the Texas coast.
Captain Rock has spent over 30 years fishing the waters around Corpus Christi, Portland, Mustang Island, and Port Aransas. His passion and enthusiasm for fishing are contagious, and he loves introducing guests to the unique inshore bay systems along our Texas coast.
Your trip may take you to the Laguna Madre, Baffin Bay, Corpus Christi Bay, Oso Bay, Shamrock Cove, or the Land Cut. Whether you want to sight-cast to tailing redfish on the flats, chase a personal-best trout, or target flounder, sheepshead, or drum, Captain Rock will help you find the right approach.
Trips may include live bait, artificial lures, or drift fishing from the boat. Before you book, Captain Rock takes time to understand your experience, interests, and goals so he can tailor a game plan to your party. Wade-fishing trips are available upon request.
He usually launches from Clem’s Marina, approximately a 15-minute drive from Port Aransas or a 20-minute drive from Portland, depending on your starting point and traffic. There’s plenty of room aboard his 24-foot Blue Wave 244 Magnum, powered by a 200-horsepower Suzuki motor.
